Ping testing works great. Only complaint would be that I can't submit a coin because it can't detect that my phone has a camera. Android 14 and Ping coin 0.1.41.

Great app, much needed. I've used this successfully on silver Eagles, Morgan's and half dollars, but all the pre-65 quarters that I check only return the first 2 frequencies in range. Are quarters, being smaller, just not as easy to verify with a ping test? I'd assume dimes are even worse. Thanks!

I like it, but they haven't updated it with more coins since I installed it about 2 months ago. There's a lot of coins I have that aren't in this such as 25.00 half Gold Eagles for one not to mention the 1/10 Eagles. I have silver eagles and only 1 tested as fake. I have 2 counterfeit silver eagles that I bought purposely to test the Ping test apps and this app never gave them a total pass, but they did get 2 of the frequencies fairly often. Must have tested the fake coins at least 50 times LOL

Used to be free and accurate. Now, can't authenticate any legitimate coin, forcing you to pay to upgrade for accurate results. Used to rely on it, now just terrible AND they want you to pay for it Edit: nice canned response, developer. doesn't change the fact that the app won't accurately detect unless you pay (which is actually zero free pings), and it may be a small price to pay, but why should I pay it to you? Edit: except it isn't improving, and you're asking too much.

Will rate it higher once the description matches the app, it says it does 1oz gold britannia coins but there not on the list, only the 1oz silver britannia.

I can't get it to listen long enough. As soon as I hit "start test" it listens for a split second then stops, as though it heard a ping. But there is no way there was enough time to even ping. If it listened longer maybe I'd have time to ping a coin. As it is, it stops listening almost as soon as I tell it to start. At first, I thought it must be because I was in a loud room or something, maybe the AC or fan was interrupting it. But no, I turned all that off, it was absolutely quiet.

Adequate for what few coins are available in it however the lack of huge amounts of older silver coins being counterfeited in China limit its usefulness. I personally would need to be able to test UK sterling & 50 % silver Crown, Half Crown, Double Florin, Florin, Shillings, 6 pence & 3 pence before it would be worth upgrading the app. Canadian and European (French, German, Netherlands, etc.) silver coins as well.
