Description by AUGer kit(from Google Play)
Discover the truth about your gold and silver coins with our Precious Coin Tester app:
🎉 Free Access to over 600 Coins - Start testing immediately! 🥇 High-precision for over 3,000 coins with semi-quantitative results. 🔍 Rich database containing over 40,000 coins. 🛠️ Custom Parameters - Customize testing parameters to suit any coin's unique attributes.
Not sure if your coin is genuine or a counterfeit? Our app simplifies authenticity checks. Unlike traditional methods that require a fine ear for sound, Precious Coin Tester analyzes the sound from a simple "ping" test and determines if your coin is made from precious metals or cheaper materials. No more uncertainties about your coin's authenticity!
How It Works:
1. Place your coin on the tip of your finger near your device’s microphone. 2. Tap the coin with a hard object and let it ring. 3. The app listens and analyzes the sound. Knock again when the ringing stops.
What Do the Results* Mean? 0-star: Negative result 1-star: Warning zone. You may need probably double check input parameters. 2-star: Your coin’s sound matches that of a genuine coin. 3-star: High-precision result: metal content error is under 10% for silver and under 5% for gold.
Differences between 2 Stars and 3 Stars? 2-star is a qualitative positive result. It is what traditional ping test offers. 3-star is our unique high precision result. It states clearly the metal content expectations. 🤑 Spot a 3-stars false positive and you may win a $100 reward! Details: https://preciouscointester.com/en/3_star_quest/round2/3_star_quest.html

Have checked dozens of silver coins and so far 100% correct in identifying both good and bad coins

This is a great app! I use it to check all of my silver coins from Morgans to Peace Dollars and Walkers, Franklin's, JFKs, 40% Ikes, and silver quarters, dimes, commemorative, generic rounds, and sovereign silver (Eagles, Maples, etc.). I've used it on pre-1933 gold and gold commemorative, as well. I've tested it with counterfeits, and it catches them every time (if they are the improper alloy). I use this tool to supplement other tests such as magnet, weight, and caliper. Highly recommend.

Works very well, even better if you have a coin holder (available through the app). Limited coins, but custom dimensions and a subscription is available for purchase, but you get the basics for free.

SCAM I bought a pinger, and now I can't test coins unless I buy a subscription. Reported as SCAM MALWARE

Sooo disappointed. Used to be a great free app, but now it's subscription based. I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable one time fee but having to pay a monthly(!) subscription fee? That would only make sense if I am a coin dealer or have to check a lot of coins every month. For the occasional test of a coin at the flea market the subscription price is too high. Suggestion: make a "pro" version that is subscription based and offer a "free" version that allows one to test a few coins a month.
