This is a great app! I use it to check all of my silver coins from Morgans to Peace Dollars and Walkers, Franklin's, JFKs, 40% Ikes, and silver quarters, dimes, commemorative, generic rounds, and sovereign silver (Eagles, Maples, etc.). I've used it on pre-1933 gold and gold commemorative, as well. I've tested it with counterfeits, and it catches them every time (if they are the improper alloy). I use this tool to supplement other tests such as magnet, weight, and caliper. Highly recommend.

Works very well, even better if you have a coin holder (available through the app). Limited coins, but custom dimensions and a subscription is available for purchase, but you get the basics for free.

Sooo disappointed. Used to be a great free app, but now it's subscription based. I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable one time fee but having to pay a monthly(!) subscription fee? That would only make sense if I am a coin dealer or have to check a lot of coins every month. For the occasional test of a coin at the flea market the subscription price is too high. Suggestion: make a "pro" version that is subscription based and offer a "free" version that allows one to test a few coins a month.
