Important Note: Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS‐B signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS‐B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS‐B is increasing all of the time. Traditional radar type data in near real time is also included for North America; this is subject to a short time delay.

Like other users state its great for knowing more about flights overhead. Better than using old technique of using binoculars just to try and see airline name. Flights with no information seem to be more frequent occurrences, so too flight info opposite to track of flight. All in all still a very good app and used daily.

When I click on an airport and want to track a flight the option for seeing it on the map is gone it's been like this for a few months. Will there be an update to fix this problem? The app needs a serious update for Android I paid for this app in 2014 but no updates.

App just updated, now even with Squawk turned off, an alert just popped up. Something not right. Also, when there's no image for a particular aircraft why display 1 that's obviously wrong? Displaying a minus altitude implies a crash ! Lack of developer response implies, couldn't care less!
