Playapod 2 Features:
• Now Playing Media Bar Quickly access whatever is currently playing by tapping on the media bar at the bottom of the screen. It’s always on with quick access to play/pause. Tap the bar to bring up the full media player view.
• News & Blogs Add news and blog feeds which will be played using text-to-speech. Text based feeds get turned into podcasts with progress bar history, current position, and bookmarking. Very unique feature!
• Video Playback Full-screen video playback is now supported! Tap on the video to toggle full-screen mode.
• Content Details Scrolling list of media items displays the description in addition to name, flags, date, size, and duration. Length of description can be configured in settings globally or per subscription.

Great product! Clean look, easy to navigate, lots of ways to sort and personalize each subscription. I use the playlist feature to queue up podcasts to listen to while working. You can pull in anything with an RSS feed and listen in your browser if you don't want to download an app. Podcasting 2.0 compliant. I've used the app on a Galaxy Tab for about a year.

I'm kind of new to the podcast world. So I began searching for a platform where I can listen and came across Playapod. Never heard of it before, decided to try it out for a few days. PROS: NO ads! Cross-platform synching, user-friendly, create playlists & save fave episodes. Adding & unsubscribing is easy! I was able to search & find all my fave podcasts. For older episodes adjust the number (25, 50, 100, etc.) in the settings menu. Love it ♥️

I can't remember why I started using this app except that I couldn't use my preferred app on iphone. Switching back to android and able to use my preferred app again, I am supremely annoyed that opml files exported from this app won't load. Not just one other app, I tried importing the file created by this app, and it failed on all of them. Checking the app website, I see they misspelled "announcement" which indicates more typos on the code. Overall I really don't have any positive things to say.

The app sounds great in theory but syncing, which is its USP, doesn't work. I've lost count of the times that I've had to mark the same podcast as listened to on my phone and then had to do the same on my other device multiple times for the same episodes. It does show your progress of the 'new' episode so when something sounds familiar you can confirm that you have listened to it before, but that's not particularly useful.
