Edited to 4/4.5 stars to reflect fix to loading issue. To make it brief, the app is functional and Politico is a good source of news to add to your repoirtore. Original review; Hey Politico, you're hemorrhaging users because your app is too slow. It takes anywhere from ten minutes to never open and load properly. Please fix it. People don't even have access to your app at this point. Your ratings are dropping as well, better get on it!

Clear, truefull news, insightful opinions, thoughtful analysis, I learn so much after reading and thinking.

★★★★★ Levi Cowan · Feb 5, 2024

Grounded reporting of facts and accounting of events without a partisan filter. I feel informed after reading Politico.

★★★★☆ Isaac Reynolds · Jan 3, 2026

Great News Source for politics, love reading their in depth articles. Would prefer to pay them directly rather than have ads, but I can live with that. 4 stars because I wish they would allow you to view history tab. Sometimes I'll be reading an article and hit an ad accidentally or have to exit out for a phone call and when I come back I can't find the article and I don't remember the exact title for the search bar which is aggravating.

★☆☆☆☆ K Ca · May 12, 2025

May 12, 2025, update: What seemed like a bug preventing articles from loading is actually the app now requiring a user register (email, work organization, etc.). Just to read the news. No, thanks. Uninstall.

★☆☆☆☆ Alex Neil · May 22, 2025

I read on PC but the mobile app wants my employer details hmmm that smells like a trap in this climate

★☆☆☆☆ Miles · Apr 10, 2026

App tells me that the article could not be downloaded because of Wi-Fi or something. Every other app works, no internet issues. No way to report problem. I love politico but the app is broken

★☆☆☆☆ Derek · Apr 8, 2026

Articles won't download. No font size adjuster (in 2026 - how is that not an ADA violation?). Good content, poor app. Don't waste your time - just bookmark the website.
