Description

Did you know there are more than 16 million ping pong players in the US ? Why are they so difficult to find then ? Your neighbor may be one of them. Use Pong Map to find nearby players and invite them to a local Table Tennis club or to play on your garage table!

Pong Map lets you see other players nearby as well as locations with available tables to play such as full time clubs, casual meetups or simply neighbors garages open to some friendly matchups!

Players, like you, have control on whether to show themselves on the map or not. Location for players on the map are estimates to protect privacy. If you pin yourself in the map, other players will be able to find and send you messages.

To contact other players, simply click on their pin, you will see their level, if available, and you can send them a message. Since the messaging system is not the focus of this app and its features are primitive, during early versions we recommend taking long term communications to another channel (Whatsapp or SMS).

Levels are color coded in the players pins. We use 2 scales to make the UI friendly to all players. NOVICE to ADVANCED terminology for those not familiar with official systems, and the USATT rating for more veteran players.
- GREEN: Novice, just beginning. Rated 900 or lower on USATT
- BLUE: Enthusiast, play regularly in the office or maybe at the local club. Rated 1300 or lower on USATT
- PURPLE: Intermediate. Frequents table tennis clubs and practices regularly. Rated 1700 or lower.
- RED: Advanced. Rated 2000 or lower.
- BLACK: Elite. Rated 2000 or higher.
