Poof - Vanishing Messages

Poof is a messaging app where nothing stays. Every message, photo, video or voice note is deleted after it has been read once.

💨 Read once, then gone
Messages arrive blurred. Tap to read, and when you close it, it's deleted for good, on your side and on the sender's.

🔐 End-to-end encrypted
Messages are encrypted on your device with the Signal Protocol (Double Ratchet). The server only relays them between two connected devices, in memory, and never stores them. Not even we can read them.

🙈 No phone number, no email
You don't need a phone number, an email address or your contacts. Your account is an anonymous key created on your device, and your nickname and friends list stay on your device.

👋 Add friends easily
Share an invite link or scan a QR code. When a friend is online, ask to talk, and the chat opens once you both accept.

📸 Photos, videos and voice notes
Send a photo, video or voice note that can be seen or heard only once.

🤫 Whisper mode
The message stays blurred and is shown only while you press and hold it. Voice notes and videos play quietly.

📱 Move to a new device with a 6-digit code
On the new device tap "I already have an account", then type the 6 digits or scan the code on your old device. Your account and friends move over with no password and no file. You can also link an email for recovery if you want.

🌍 More than 50 languages
Poof opens in your device language, and you can switch language in Settings.

🛡️ Safety
Block and report any user from the chat. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data.

Poof is for ages 17 and up.
