PowermaxSMS

Solid app Executes the basics OK. The only negative things are: 1) some words are misspelled in the Settings screen & elsewhere, & 2) an exit button is needed. Since one does not exist, the app remains opened. When I click on the icon to go to it again, it's still open. That means I don't have to sign in with a password. Here's what you must do before using the app. Get a Power max GSM module & any SIMM card. Set REM Access ON. Include your smartphone number than one of 4 SMS reporting #s. Set Report to SMS Phone # to "Disable Report". Power max+ has a flaw with its SMS. So you have to use a workaround with this app. The flaw... Power max will not reply when a text message is sent to it unless your sent text is a "status" or you set Power max's reporting feature on. Don't set it on unless you want to get text messages every time someone arms/disarms/etc. the alarm by key fob, keypads in the home, etc. You'll get tons of text messages. Here's a workaround. When you arm/disarm, wait several seconds. Click the Send Status button (red with ! Mark). Now you'll get the status of the arm/disarm. You'll save time and text message costs. I use Power max+. This app is good for remotely controlling it.

Visible code at sent/receive messages when sent message to your alarm, the sending text message it's your security code. It's visible. Must fix for security reasons. Power max pro user

Excellent idea Does exactly what I need: Vi sonic alarm remote heaven but needs some thought around security of the password PIN. Works with a range of Sony Xperia devices.

Recent upgrade crashes consistently. App unusable and no response from developer. I did pay for a pro version.

Unhappy client Sorry, but this app did not link to my power max, and although I got text messages to myself on my smartphone, I could do not arm/disarm the system with my cell phone app at all, and by the time I tried and retried, the refund policy had expired, 15 minutes to return. :-(
