After five Volvo Ocean Race campaigns and countless offshore miles, Predict Wind is a core part of my toolkit, and the anchor alert is one of its most useful features. If the boat drags, you're warned straight away, whether you're aboard overnight or ashore. That gives genuine peace of mind at anchor, especially when conditions change. Combined with Predict Wind's forecasting and routing, it makes the app essential for racing and cruising alike. Highly recommended.

Greatest app for wind and weather, very accurate. The more you learn about it, the better it gets. Used the router for the Solo Tasman Challenge yacht race in 2026. They correctly predicted the strong winds and the vitality of the 3 lows coming across the fleet with the very high Cape prediction. Race went ahead, and the fleet saw 50 to 60 kn winds tight reaching and upwind through 2 of the fronts, as predicted. The fleet was prepared and made it through well, I was still racing.

Uninstalled Predict Wind, as it defaults to Juist and asks for upgrade to add current location several 100s of miles from Juist.

Apps that don't let you try free first and immediately ask you for credit card are the worst, use other. Because later making sure you don't get charged if you don't like it, turns into a part-time job.SHAME ON YOU!! BUT YOU ASK FOR CREDIT CARD FOR 7 DAYS FREE, THAT'S THE POINT......SHAME ON YOU.

I hardly use this app anymore because it is too inaccurate. I have been misled by the tables too often and don't trust it much. Apart from that, I used to be able to read the table for a specific location and then use those tables offline - even after days. Now, when I log into my phone, the tables are gone, and you need to be online to get them back. No good if there is no coverage....
