401 rollover check uploads is nowhere to be found. This feature is mentioned in emails from principal, their site, and even within the app itself. This app only seems to launch the mobile web app when you click on your account. I downloaded this app to make my 401k rollover smoother and easier, which proved to be a huge waste of time.

June 2026: Still not useful: for example it only shows the last 5 contributions. 4/2/2026: The app remains slow and ineffective requiring to use a website for almost everything. 3/23/2024: Improvement hasn't been in Principal plans as the app sucks just like did 5 years ago. 9/18/2019: The app is even worse than Principal website. One would not think that's possible but Principal achieved a new low bar for uselessness and lack of basic information.
