L'emittente PromovideoTV nasce negli anni 80 iniziando le sue trasmissioni in bianco e nero. La sede principale è a Gerace da dove ha irradiato le prime trasmissioni. Altre sedi operative sono a Siderno e Reggio Calabria. Svariate sono state negli anni le collaborazioni di giornalisti, operatori e collaborazioni sia con emittenti del luogo sia con emittenti italiane. Ad oggi è diventata un 'emittente interprovinciale ed irradia le sue trasmissioni in digitale terrestre quasi su quasi tutto il territorio calabrese e grazie alle collaborazioni con altre emittenti televisive dall’ estate 2014 Promovideo TV è presente anche a Salerno e provincia. Variegata è la programmazione che va dall'informazione, agli approfondimenti, allo spazio culturale nonchè sportivo, ai film ed allo spazio dedicato alla autoproduzione ed hai bambini. Non mancano le dirette. Durante il corso degli anni l'emittente si è occupata del territorio diffondendo la cultura ed il foklore della locride.
