Do you want to encode videos on your phone into different formats, trim videos, or extract audio? Are you looking for a free solution which will not take your information?
Video Transcoder is an application which uses the open source program FFmpeg to transcode video files from one format to another. By selecting the video to process, details for the video are provided and the desired settings can be configured.
The following media containers are supported: Avi, Flv, Gif, Matroska, Mp3, Mp4, Ogg, Opus, WebM. Additionally, these are the supported video codecs: H.264, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VP8, VP9, Xvid.
The application requires very few permissions, and never attempts to access the Internet.

Thanks for the free app. It would be awesome if the user was able to choose what audio and subtitle tracks to keep with the output, instead of automatically keeping the ones with foreign language; it would be good to have at least a select all option to check for this subject. When the screen goes off the app pause the process and just continues when turning screen on again, it would be great if you fix this issue; this happens while the app isn't in system power optimization plan black list.

Absolutely great app, but please ditch the no nonsense file explorer. Replace it with android default. It least that way we can see what video we are selecting (when there's a lot of them with similar name)

Genuinely a Great app. Had an issue at first with the resolution of the output video but once I changed the default it worked perfectly, and for free. I'll say it again. Great app.

USELESS APP. Apparently it does not support MKV files, which is disappointing considering that is the biggest thing I needed it for. The only reason I even downloaded this in the first place was because it was being compared to the full-featured desktop software handbrake. But clearly it is not a worthy alternative to handbrake.

Even after using ffmpeg, it's unable to transcode files of many known formats. A lot of work needs to be done.

The video transcoding is great, but it's a terrible app to use. The interface to find a video file to load has no thumbnail, filtering or ability to sort. A few useful features like that, and it'd easily be a 5-star app
