I have found the skills and strategies the app teaches to be very helpful managing my PTSD. I really like that it can target specific symptoms, and guides you through the exercise. And it has several options for getting in contact with support and healthcare professionals, as well as emergency contacts. Seriously, I can't tell you how valuable this is when you are having an anxiety attack or a sudden wave of depression/hopelessness, when you aren't thinking very clearly.

I like how it's all laid out in a thoughtful manner yet professional. You can keep track of my symptoms and manage them with activities on the app. You can also help calm yourself with soothing music and sounds as well as upload your own music. I love that you can personalize my experience where, at the end of an activity, you can gauge your emotions on a scale of 1-10 and see if that activity worked for you or not. You can also personalize your care plan, which, as you know is super important.

Assist in my focus toward an emotional and mental state of clarity and more calmness through my daily life. There are good reminders in thIs app about the simple things that can be done to bring serenity to oneself. For myself with a sustained severe traumatic brain injury ovet 20 yrs ago a number of my symptoms were listed as ptsd like. The techniques used in this app are so beneficial to my sense of mental clarity. They are some I've used for a long tome and some are new.

The government puts so much weight on our dated research. It's studying the effects of war as perceived in the 80s. That's how far behind it is and yet that's not even close to the right generation. Our boys have been asked to do something for their country that the country doesn't even understand and the government thinks a little app will make fix the optics ... cute

The links needed to navigate are off the screen on the phone, so it basically won't work. You download and install the app but can't click or tap on the "next" tab to go to the next page.

This application is always with you when you need it and provides:

Education about PTSD;
A self-assessment tool;
Tools for managing the distress associated with post-traumatic stress;
Information on crisis support;
Information about professional treatment.

If you have, or think you might have PTSD, this app is for you. PTSD Coach Canada provides you with information and self-help tools based on research findings.
