Pushover is incredible--super fast and lightweight, easy to set up with flexible options for receiving notifications and acting on them. I set it up to receive and deliver email messages, and it works great and alerts me right away. I wanted to get alerts at night when my phone is on silent, so I set up DND with an exception for Pushover. At first when I tried to add the exception, Pushover didn't show up in the list of apps, but then I enabled DND and then it showed up. Highly recommended app!

Works much better than the default push notifications in blue iris. I plan on using it for other things in the future.

Pushover is great for home automation notifications. I bought it on the Dec 21st. Today, Dec 24th, Google issued a refund that I didn't request. The app doesn't get notifications now. Do you know what's going on?

I was initially using Twilio for SMS notifications, but there was too much red tape dealing with carrier requirements, so I switched to home assistant notifications, but the latency was poor. Pushover seems pretty real-time and worth the one time $5. Next I'm planning to write a little script to send my doorbell cam pics in the notification and migrate that from HA. Thanks to Pushover for such a simple service that works really well!

Didn't get an alert because the app had somehow auto logged out. Noticed the issue by other means, checked the app, had to log in again. This behavior defeats the purpose. I guess I will have to write my own little app for my notifications. Maybe should have done that in the first place.

I bought the service, but I did not receive email verification. Every time login or reset password it said invalid email. I registered on android cause that's what they suggested but when I log in on the website it's not working.

When I was on the 30-day trial, all notifications were extremely accurate and arrived on time. After paying for the subscription, the notifications now arrive late — or sometimes don’t arrive at all. This is very frustrating and honestly disappointing.
