I was initially using Twilio for SMS notifications, but there was too much red tape dealing with carrier requirements, so I switched to home assistant notifications, but the latency was poor. Pushover seems pretty real-time and worth the one time $5. Next I'm planning to write a little script to send my doorbell cam pics in the notification and migrate that from HA. Thanks to Pushover for such a simple service that works really well!

When I was on the 30-day trial, all notifications were extremely accurate and arrived on time. After paying for the subscription, the notifications now arrive late — or sometimes don’t arrive at all. This is very frustrating and honestly disappointing.

Message image previews are STILL MISSING AFTER SEVERAL UPDATES, only show when you expand it. I keep having to go back to the previous generation app. FIX IT ALREADY.

Does not work if phone is muted, even if you select the settings. Can't override do not disturb in app...can only do so in the settings, but then the app overrides the settings...
