Description
Are you a Linux/open-source enthusiast? Whether you are or not, if it seems cool to be able to have the Linux desktop on your Android device, then this app is what you're looking for. Currently there is a choice between the Unity desktop, elementary OS' Pantheon desktop, and Gnome. Missing your desktop of choice? Get in touch and if there's enough interest I might just add it 😉
Features include a couple of different themes, a search feature which allows you to search from a multitude of different search sources (both local and remote), and customisation options.
An optional gesture lets you swipe to open your notification tray. If you choose to enable this feature, DistroHopper uses an Android Accessibility Service to open the tray for you — the only way a home screen app can do so. The Accessibility Service is only used to open the notification tray. It doesn't read any screen content or perform any other actions.

Awesome launcher!! Feels so close to Unity 7!! The only thing is that'd I'd like to be able to link apps and maybe files on "the desktop".

Love everything about the launcher. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the lack of being able to add widgets. Tried other Linux launchers and none are lime this. Once widgets can be added this review will be changed to 5 stars.

So far I really like this launcher! I'd love to see icon pack support in the future but so far so good! I prefer gnome shell at the moment, but I'll definitely be distro hopping in the future 👍

My review was deleted, apparently. Great job accepting criticism. So here it is again. This launcher, though nostalgic, is nearly featureless and not worth your time. You could pick any "Lite" launcher on Play and still get more than 10 times the features, even during their beta. It's practically a demo and the app description is just bloat. I understand your passion and nostalgia for Linux, but this is a kid's project. EDIT: Right-click menu IS a submenu...so yes Linux does.
