PydhalChalo: Kashmir Treks

Pydhal chalo means "let's walk" in Kashmiri. PydhalChalo is a free trekking app for Jammu & Kashmir, made by trekkers from Srinagar who walk every trail before it goes in the app.

MAPPED TRAILS, DISTRICT BY DISTRICT
From Gangabal and the Great Lakes to Tarsar Marsar, Tulian Lake, Aharbal and the day walks around Srinagar. Every trail has its distance, time, climb, difficulty, highest point and photos, with the route drawn on a 3D terrain map. Filter by length, elevation, difficulty, season, activity and what's on the way: lakes, meadows, forests, glaciers.

📍 KNOW WHERE TO START
Directions to the trailhead in Google Maps, and a note on where the road ends and the walk begins.

🗺️ OFFLINE MAPS
Save a trail and its map before you leave. Most of Kashmir's trails have no signal, and the app keeps working without one.

⏱️ RECORD YOUR TREK
Tap Start and the app records your route, distance, time, climb and pace, with the screen off and the phone in your pocket. Finish a trek and relive it with a 3D flyover of your route.

🆘 SOS WHEN IT MATTERS
One tap sends your live location to your emergency contacts.

🌦️ WEATHER FOR THE TRAIL
A 5-day forecast for the trail itself, not the city, with a plain verdict on whether today is a good day to go.

👥 TREK TOGETHER
Join trekking groups, plan events, chat, and find people walking the same trail. Follow friends, post photos, and see who's climbing the most on the weekly leaderboard. Earn badges as your treks add up.

📸 SHARE YOUR TREK
Turn a finished trek into a share card with your route and stats, ready for Instagram and WhatsApp.

🧭 FREE-ROAM
Walking somewhere new? Record it anyway, and submit it as a trail for others.

FREE, NO ADS
PydhalChalo is free and has no ads. It's built in Srinagar by people who trek these mountains every season.

Trails in: Srinagar, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam, Ramban and more, with new trails added every month.

Note on location: PydhalChalo uses your location in the background only while you are recording a trek, so the whole route is captured when the screen is off. Recording starts when you tap Start trek and stops when you finish.
