The Shake Alert system this app uses is now active in OR as well as CA, and will be active in WA later this year. Location use is limited only to when the app is open, but I assume it only needs to be active to update your position and will otherwise use the last known position for alert notification. It would be nice to see some confirmation of that.

It alerted me right away when the earthquake happens. I didn't think anything of the noise while I was in the restroom just sounded like someone hit the wall. Then this app started making a siren sound alert. Thank you developers!

I don't get why this app is putting my location as Pasadena. I am not in Pasadena, I am not even in LA, but over 36 miles from LA. So I won't get any alerts if any quakes hit my area, so what is the use in having this? Hope this gets fixed soon.

I have had 2 earthquakes that were 3.5 in the last 48 hours but no notification. I have my notification set for 3.0 or higher and both this earthquake were 8 miles away from me. I have no notification since July 2020. Which is crazy since I live in California. I like the ideal it if works.
