Comments on Rafter calculator Paid for Android

★★★★★ I have the paid version, and you put in all the numbers you can collect from your tape measure, and it gives you a picture of the side of your piece of wood and deals with all the other calculations behind the scenes, so you don't have to it is great

★★★★★ It IS 100 % accurate. The bird's beak works out perfectly, but I don't actually do it the way the photo shows you already know the depth of the bird beak because you had to put it in .set your square up for that and mark on plum Cup where it crosses easy-peasy

★★★★★ This app is brilliant, I teach my students how to use it. You can also use it for hip rafters, just make sure you get the span right, it will be different from the common rafter span. Drop a plumb line from the center of the ridge and measure to the corner of the wall plate, this is your span for the hip. Keep the pitch or rise the same and measurement K the same to keep it in line with the others. Hope this helps.

★★☆☆☆ Waste of time and money. Have uninstalled. Very disappointed. How hard could it be to have an app with trigonometry functions.

★★☆☆☆ This is not worth the money. Most of the places you click make perfectly good sense. But, if you put in the angle you want for some reason it does not calculate the height of the ridge board. Conversely, if you put in the height of the ridge board it doesn't give you the angle. It also gives you very strange information concerning the bird's eye. Frankly I'd like to get my $1.99 back.
