I got the new lnk module because the lnk 1 was deprecated. Setup was a pain because my SSID password for my guest network was not accepted. Have no idea why. I had to connect to my main network which was set up for dual broadcast. That finally work. Only 4 stations were being recognized but that finally corrected itself closing the app and reopening it. Seems to be working fine.

I do like this rainbird 2.0 version. The old version had a lot of lag time connecting to control panel. Now its 2 seconds on average to controller. So if you are having connection issues see which version you are on.

Update: I reset my controller and reset the app, and set everything up from scratch, and it's now working fine! ------- This used to work okay. But lately, it shows that a zone is running when it's not, and I can't stop it on the app. Also, I have trouble starting a zone. I need to first go out to the garage, unplug the controller, plug it in, restart the app and hope it works... also the controller goes offline for no reason.

Very disappointing experience. I have two Rain Bird controllers installed next to each other. One connects to Wi-Fi easily, the other refuses, even with the same signal. My main network is Wi-Fi 6, so I had to buy an older router just to connect it. Connection took many attempts, and after set up the app often shows “offline” or “network not stable.” Also, it’s unclear if stations remain assigned to Program A. App needs serious improvement or allow old versions until fixed.

Only allows 3 "programs", not one per zone (I have 6 zones). Unable to water one zone on command, just run a program and all the zones on it.

Terrible experience so far, 90% of the time it will not connect without a reset. I am very disappointed as the rep at rainbird convinced me to upgrade to a Wi-Fi enabled controller. Wish I wouldn't have.
