Comments on Rain Bird for Android

★★★★☆ Bill Akers · Jul 12, 2026

This app has been a mess for years with connection issues. It does appear the latest update has fixed the connection issues. We'll see. I can't give 5 stars due to years of agrivation. Use 2.4 not 5.0

★★★★★ Caleb Chamberlain · Aug 14, 2026

Works fine for me. Very convenient compared to editing water schedules on the controller directly

★☆☆☆☆ RW A · Jun 20, 2026

HORRIBLE! This may be the worst app I've ever used. Constant problems with failing to connect to controller and when it does connect it takes at least a minute for it to open the controller settings. DO NOT BUY a rain bird controller, absolutely useless!

★☆☆☆☆ Trevor Hancock · Aug 3, 2026

Absolute garbage! 99% of the time it won't connect to the controller. I've put the controller on It's own dedicated Wi-Fi network that is not even 4ft away from the controller, and it is still flaky as can be. Move on from Rainbird entirely. Their Wi-Fi connectivity is trash and has not been improved one bit in the 5 years I've put up with this garbage. VERY disappointed.

★☆☆☆☆ Amota Ionut · Aug 23, 2026

It is just way to slow. Sitting next to the controller with full Wi-Fi, and sometimes it takes minutes and multiple tries to connect
