This app has been a mess for years with connection issues. It does appear the latest update has fixed the connection issues. We'll see. I can't give 5 stars due to years of agrivation. Use 2.4 not 5.0

It is just way to slow. Sitting next to the controller with full Wi-Fi, and sometimes it takes minutes and multiple tries to connect

HORRIBLE! This may be the worst app I've ever used. Constant problems with failing to connect to controller and when it does connect it takes at least a minute for it to open the controller settings. DO NOT BUY a rain bird controller, absolutely useless!

After 4 years of use... the good- it eventually connects to the controller. Once the schedule is set, it works. The bad - It's slow to connect. The user interface is rudimentary & clunky 'rainbird app 2.0' is rated higher at a 2.3, so I may switch over to that!!
