Comments on Rain Gauge App & Dark Sky Tech for Android

★★★★★ Kirsten Naylor · Jun 12, 2026

This is undoubtedly THE best weather app I have ever seen. It's constantly being maintained and improved. I have been using it for years now, I'm using the paid option and it was so worth it.

★★★★★ gillian rixon · Jun 29, 2026

I have been using this app for a few years now. Can rely on its accuracy.

★★★★★ Mark Duncan · Jun 7, 2026

Absolutely love the Hyperlocal weather app. I spend a lot of time outside mountain biking, so I have 4 weather apps in use and this one is the best for hyperlocal weather and rain tracking.

★★★★☆ Charles Hassinger · May 11, 2026

Excellent app. I find it to be precise with the times & extremely accurate. I only wish there was another way to pay for the premium other than Google Pay.

★★★★★ John Beekman · May 18, 2026

Great app, used it for years. Starting with a recent update, if I access the app via the widget, it will always default to the "Current" tab. Previous versions would remember the last tab used (10-Day, Hourly, etc.). Maybe make this an option?

★☆☆☆☆ Jake Hesse · Jul 12, 2026

For a paid ap, it's really gone downhill. 7/11/26 now there's a ridiculous amount of ads. Dumb.

★☆☆☆☆ Simon Smillie · Jun 18, 2026

Premium subscription required for basic features such as radar history, disappointing when the data is widely free from many sources.

★☆☆☆☆ Andrew Batista · Jul 21, 2026

This used to be a great app that I would recommend to everybody. Then they moved nearly all functionality behind a paywall. Radar is completely limited to the current time, and forget knowing what the weather will be like throughout the day because the forecast only goes out to the next 3 hours. Without shelling out money, this app is now about as useful as looking out the window. Skip this, there are plenty of adequate weather apps that will give you reasonable weather data for free.
