I found the game I was looking for. This game combines a defense genre with random elements for added fun. You earn coins based on your score to enhance your abilities. The game has minimal ads, and in-app purchases are very affordable.

This game is bad honestly. First, it gives you basically no tutorial, so you're going to be very confused. Then there's the fact that it feels like you do no damage to enemies and when you get koed you can't get any upgrades to make the next round any easier because they all need a lot of materials that at that point you can only get by spending irl money. It could be fun, I can see a good game here, but GOD it's just way too long and hard to progress to anything that could make it be fun.
