Random Sound Timer

Random Sound Timer: the ultimate prank app for hidden sound pranks. Pick a sound, set a timer, and hide your phone. It fires off surprise noises on a schedule while the screen looks completely off. The perfect practical joke app for messing with friends, roommates, or coworkers.

How it works:

Choose a sound: use a bundled sound effect or import your own audio file
Set the interval: from seconds to minutes between each random sound
Hit Start, then go stealth: a full black overlay disguises the screen as off or locked
Long-press to reveal the hidden timer whenever you need to check on it or stop it

Keep them guessing:
Turn on Interval Variation and each countdown randomly runs shorter or longer than the time you set, so the prank sound never fires on a predictable beat.

Build your own sound library:
Import any audio file from your device and build a personal sound effects collection. Sort by name or date, multi-select and delete in bulk, and preview any sound before you commit.

Stay hidden:

Fullscreen stealth mode with a black overlay that only unlocks on long-press
Optional screen pinning locks the app in place so a stray swipe can't blow your cover
Volume control up to 200% so the sound cuts through, even in a noisy room

Made to fit you:
Supports Material You dynamic theming on Android 12+, matching the app to your device's wallpaper-based color palette.

Random Sound Timer is a harmless prank and joke app built for fun: hide a random beep in a friend's backpack, set off a mystery noise during a meeting, or just mess with your roommate.

Recent changes:
Material You theming is now disabled by default instead of enabled. You can toggle it in the settings at any time.
