Caregivers: With the RAZ Care app, you can manage contacts, settings and monitor all aspects of the phone right from your own Android device. Contacts: With the RAZ Care app, you can video call the RAZ Memory Cell Phone user (requires setup by caregiver). With the RAZ Care app, the caregiver is in control. You can enable or disable features according to your senior's ability and needs.
Here's what you can do as the caregiver: - Add and edit contacts; - Place video calls; - Block unwanted incoming calls; - Set 'Quiet hours' to prevent calls during certain times; - Control repetitive calls; - Create reminders that appear on their phone as sticky notes or sticky notes & audio; - Set charging reminders and stay informed with low battery text alerts; - Enable automatic answering of calls, including a speakerphone option; - Keep track of how many calls your senior is involved, preventing loneliness; - Track the phone's location, battery life, and network status; - Utilize the screen auto-lock feature for added simplicity; - Enable announcements like charging status and name of the caller; - Activate option for low vision and hand tremors; Choose and adjust ringtone and its volume; Access call history; - Switch between light and dark background modes; - Manage repetitive 911 calls with different emergency calling options, or the RAZ Emergency Service subscription, including caregiver notifications; - Control all settings and aspects of the RAZ Memory Cell Phone.

I can control everything my mother can access and limit the people who she can call and receive calls from. Having photos of her contacts is a game changer. She couldn't figure out her other cell phones.

I had the phone activated a little over 36 hours and so far my 93-year-old mother loves the phone. Both my parents have dementia. My mother has been able to make and receive phone calls. My dad who is almost 95 doesn't really want to use it, his hearing is very poor, but my brother got him to make a test call to him. I heard some commotion downstairs around midnight and went to investigate it I found my father trying to shut the phone off. Consequently, he made three outgoing calls.

So far the Raz phone feels like the perfect solution for my dad, who doesn't have dementia but who is long past learning how to reliably use any other phone I've tried for him, including others specifically marketed to seniors. This app isn't perfect, and should be used by someone with some amount of tech-savvy, but so far it does what I've needed it to do. Simple asks would include better cues to indicate whether a new contact has been uploaded yet, and a way to hear ringtones in advance.

This phone is GREAT for seniors. However, the caregiver app is crashing every time I try to add or edit contacts. I called it in and reinstalled the app. Also did hard reboot on my phone, but still experiencing the same problem.

Doesn't work with Android. Got the phone for my mom and I have installed and uninstalled the caregiver app three times now, and it crashes every time with the SMS code. Reached out to support via text and via chat and no answer. Hope to get the $75 restocking fee waived when I return it. Super disappointed because it seemed like the perfect solution for my mom who's 3 hours away from me and in cognitive decline.

Pics on the phone make dialing easy. Big screen easy to see. Can get reminders. GPS tracking. When it works, it's the best memory phone out there. Gets a 1 because you must have the phone to troubleshoot and do updates. There is no way to do it through the app. This is an issue if you live in another town or state from the person who uses the phone. Does not stay locked in Razz mode, and it gets stuck in airplane mode often. No auto updates to fix issues. GPS rarely works.
