Comments on RCCDroid Remote shutter Sony for Android
★★★★★
Great for long time esposures I own a alpha 7s and this app works with both my Nexus 5 phone and my Nexus 7 (2013) tablet. You just have to follow the instructions *exactly* . I find it particularly useful for long time exposures in bulb shutter mode (with ND filter). For whatever reason, the official Sony remote does not support bulb mode. What would be really great would be an automatic timer in bulb mode which would essentially mean shutter speeds longer than 30s Edit: I just read in the manual that the timer function is available in the pro version.

Great app for remote control. Works with Sony A7, included BULB mode. Please update this app for newest Android & add some instructions how to connect with camera. I was struggling with connection (you need change USB mode to PC remote).

HTC one S Very clever implementation of the Sony USB drivers! unfortunately my HTC one does not support 3rd party apps in otg mode :( Any workarounds?
★★☆☆☆
Unfortunately doesn't work on my device. The app looks promising, but unfortunately doesn't work on my device (HTC One S). Other peripherals work through the OTG cable, but my camera can't be controlled. The RCCDroid staff was very responsive in analyzing the issue but couldn't find a solution.

Doesn't connect to A7 My Samsung S6 running 5.1.1 Lollipop just sits there 'waiting for permissions...' from my Sony A7 and doesn't do anything.

Interface! What interface? Take a look at trigger trap then and now. Why wait as long as they did before getting a user friendly interface.I wouldn't even try to use rccdroid in the field and I certainly wouldn't pay for a sub-beta offering disguised as "Pro".Sorry if the truth hurts. Would your app be any better if I were CEO of trigger trap? No. I gave them the same criticism I'm offering you. The difference is that you don't want to see shortcomings in your app.
