Comments on Read Scripture for Android

★★★★★ David Mullins · Jan 2, 2026

This app not only takes you through the Bible in a year, it has great videos that help you understand each section before you read it. English Standard Version is easier to read without all the thees and thous.

★★★★★ Durward Jackson · Apr 7, 2026

Love this app! The way the video gives you a recap of what you read the day previously is amazing. Highly recommend this app to learn about the Bible.

Every time I follow the reading journey with Read Scripture. I feel the presence of God, and I am very grateful to experience it and draw closer to Him with these daily readings ♥︎

Excellent app...when it works. I have the pixel 8 and when I try to watch one of the included videos the app closes. Same thing happens if I try to rotate the screen when the app is open. Another annoying thing is what when I am able to watch a video, the phone still tries to go to sleep, unlike when watching videos anywhere else, so I have to tap the screen like every 15 seconds to keep it awake.

★★☆☆☆ Kimberly Thorpe · Jan 13, 2024

The app seems good, but I can't watch any videos. Whenever I click on a video it just closes out the app. Just installed this app today, so it's up-to-date. I see others in reviews saying the videos in the app aren't working for them either. I'll likely just uninstall today bc there's no point in keeping an app that doesn't work properly.

★☆☆☆☆ Lightning and Thunder · Sep 4, 2024

This app no longer works on my Google Pixel 6A AND my Samsung note8. Every time I try to open it it starts to open and then immediately closes back down. BOTH PHONES!!! How terrible. I'm pretty sure it happened at the as time as the most recent update
