Can't capture screenshots, so I want to be able to share security data, too – I want to be able to export all exposed data. Additionally, I would like to be able to store already-verified documents for later export. Cannot scan UK DVLA licenses.

★★★★★ Dr Abhay Kedia · Sep 2, 2026

Excellent app. Does what it is supposed to. Don't worry about the app requiring you to scan the inside of your passport. That is done so that no one can get your details from a closed passport. Excellent app if you want to verify the NFC chip on your E-Passport in India.

★★★★☆ George Batchelor · Jun 1, 2026

Easy to use. Worked well on passport, but would not let me screen print the results so had to photo with friends phone

★★★★☆ AMINI Job · Oct 29, 2026

Is it possible to add Arabic-language policies so that names and other information written in Arabic can be displayed, as is the case in some countries?

★★☆☆☆ ryan Tanner · Oct 8, 2025

Didn't work for pixel 6 and driver's license. Kept saying to align with the bottom lines. Wouldn't take the picture of my ID

★☆☆☆☆ Joe Caputo · Mar 13, 2026

The goal is to read the chip I will not give you my passport information then you will say the chip says my passport info makes no sense why would I do that sorry

I can't scan a non NFC passport. It would be great to have the option of choosing

Description by Signicat creators of ReadID Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.

The ReadID Me app (previously known as NFC Passport Reader) reads and verifies the NFC chip embedded in electronic passports, national identity cards and other ICAO compliant identity documents (ePassport, or, in ICAO 9309 terminology, Machine Readable Travel Documents: MRTD). The app optically scans (OCR) the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) to gain access to the embedded chip. It then reads the embedded chip using NFC and displays the biographical and biometric information of the document holder, as well as document information, after which security checks, such as Active Authentication, Chip Authentication and Passive Authentication , are performed and detailed results are shown.

The app also supports electronic driving licenses (eDL, ISO 18013, currently limited to Dutch driving licenses from after November 2014).
