WHY RECLAIM USES ACCESSIBILITY ACCESS Reclaim OS uses Android's AccessibilityService API to power its app-blocking and focus features. The service detects when a blocked app is opened so Reclaim can intercept it and return you to your home screen — during block schedules and focus sessions. This is the core functionality that lets Reclaim block distractions.
Reclaim uses the AccessibilityService only to identify which app is being opened so it can enforce the blocks you set up. Reclaim does not read screen content, capture text you type, log your keystrokes, record audio, or collect any personal or sensitive information through this service. All processing happens on your device. You are asked to grant this permission with a clear explanation, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility.
