Using the RED Sightseeing app is easy. It’s designed to make your city exploration with RED Sightseeing even better. This is how it works:
No unnecessary waiting - You can find all our stops and the locations of our buses and boats in the app on the map. Simply open the app to see if there’s a bus or boat near you to hop on. Hop on and off as often as you like.
Navigate - see your location on the map and navigate yourself to where ever you like to go in the city. Simply click on you destination on the map and we will calculate the walking distance in kilometers and time.
Important updates - We will let you know if any special events in the city influence the route or stops of our buses and boats.
Highlights - Find all top attractions in Berlin, Copenhagen and Stockholm in the app. Interested in specific highlights? Recently I went to Stockholm a city break and to visit a Christmas market. I purchased a ticket for 72 hours whilst I visited all the sights in Stockholm. The first day friday we arrived we never used the bus as we felt our feet. Then the 2 other days we used the red sightseeing bus. The drivers were very helpful polite and friendly. The only critism I have as a customer is that the bus stops should have a red flag on it to identify bus stops easily.

No wonder this app is lagging behind and doesn't really serve the purpose. Last update in fall 2024. The app does not show even approximate arrival time of the bus. You just keep wondering how long it will take for that cluster of buses move your way. We just spent 10 minutes sinting with the bus in a single stop. I thought this is a hop on hop off bus not a stationary service for Viking line passengers. The audio tour wasn't working. Not coming back for this experience anymore. 😪

Where are departure times? They tell you the app is required to know boat departure, and it's not there from what I can see.

Doesn't actually show the times or the location of the buses, which makes it quite useless for anything other than finding a stop.
