A simple app that updates the media database (aka MediaStore). Each Android device has a database that stores media information. It is not immediately update when files are transferred from another device (eg via USB). This app scan storage and add new media to the database.

Cannot access / \n I have root access. App does not ask for root access and therefore gives this error. \n A solution is to give the ability to specify the root folder to start scanning from, such as sdcard. I don't think people want /data/data to be scanned and such.
