Description by David Alderson Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
A message you can't deal with now. A web page to come back to. A screenshot of a booking. A notification from someone you must answer. RemindEverything turns any of them into a reminder without leaving the app you are in, and when it fires, one tap reopens the exact thing - the conversation, the page, the picture - not just the app.
FOUR WAYS IN, FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE
- Select text, then tap Remind me in the text menu.
- Share anything to RemindEverything.
- Copy something, then tap Paste in the app or the Quick Settings tile.
- Switch on the floating button: tap it over any app and it takes a screenshot, reads the text in it, suggests a title, and spots the date, time, tracking number or amount.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
RemindEverything uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one optional feature, the floating screenshot button. When you tap the button, the service takes one screenshot and notes which app is open, and both go into the reminder you are making. It also notices which app comes to the front, so a "next time I open this app" reminder can fire. It reads no other screen content, performs no taps or typing for you, and nothing it sees leaves your phone. You switch it on yourself in Android's settings, after an in-app explanation. RemindEverything is not an accessibility tool, and everything else works without it.
PIN A NOTIFICATION
With notification access, any message or alert you receive can be pinned as a reminder. It can come back at a time you choose, the next time that person writes to you, or by a deadline - and cancel itself if they reply first. Reply from the reminder, in place.
MORE THAN THE CLOCK
- At a time, once or repeating: daily, weekdays, weekly, monthly, yearly.
- Next time you open a particular app.
- When you arrive at or leave a place.
- When your car or headphones connect.
- In your next free calendar slot.
HEARD THE WAY YOU WANT
Three levels of insistence: one gentle notification, a persistent one that re-alerts until you act, or an urgent full-screen alert that wakes the phone and can sound through Do Not Disturb. Your own sound, your own volume, a volume key to silence without dismissing. Snooze for minutes, hours, until tonight or tomorrow morning, or move a reminder to another day altogether. Several at once stack neatly in one alert.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Widgets for your next reminders, a single most-pressing reminder, and a capture bar: new reminder, paste, pin a notification.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
What you capture stays on your phone: no account, no ads, no servers of ours. Text in screenshots is recognized on the device. The two online features - a map for place reminders and page titles for links - are off until you switch them on, and each says what it sends. Nothing is backed up to the cloud by itself; export everything to a file you choose and import it on your next phone.
HONEST ABOUT THE DETAILS
- Each permission is asked for only when you turn its feature on, with a plain explanation first. Notification access and the floating button are optional.
- Reminders land on the minute because Android lets a reminder app schedule exact alarms. The Health Check screen shows anything the phone is doing that could delay one.
- If you also use AlertVIP or Chimy, one home-screen widget mutes or softens all three together. Android 12 and later.
