Remittance Info: Exchange Rate

Remittance Info is a reference tool for people who send money abroad. It shows the daily exchange rate between two currencies, how that rate has moved, and any provider rates that users of the app have reported.

What you can do
- See the daily reference rate between two currencies, with its date.
- Type what you want to send and see what it converts to, or type what the recipient needs and see what you would have to send.
- See how the rate moved over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and how today compares.
- Set a rate alert and get a notification when a pair reaches your target.
- Add the rate and fee a provider quoted you, so other users can see it.
- See rates other users have reported for your currency pair, where there are any, with the date of each.
- Browse provider names for the currency you send from.
- Choose from more than 160 currencies, and swap the pair with one tap.

About provider rates
Provider rates in this app are reported by its users. They are not supplied by the providers. For many currency pairs there are none yet; the app then shows the reference rate and calculator, and you can add the first one.
Rates are submitted by users and are not confirmed with the provider. A rate reported by only one user is marked as not confirmed. You can report a rate that looks wrong. Where rates are listed, the app subtracts the listed fee from the amount you send and multiplies by the listed rate, and orders the list by that estimate only. It is not a recommendation of any provider.

Privacy
- No account, no sign-up and no login.
- No ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- The calculator sends nothing: the amounts you type and the currencies you choose stay on your phone.
- Rate alerts are kept on your phone only.
- Adding or reporting is optional. It sends only what you enter and a random ID for the installation.

Permissions used
- Internet: to fetch exchange-rate data, and to send a rate, provider details or a report you choose to submit.
- Notifications: only if you set a rate alert.
An internet connection is needed to refresh rates. The most recent rates stay available offline.

This is an independent information app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank, exchange house, money transfer provider, central bank or government body, and does not represent them. Provider names belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify whose rate or details are listed.

The app does not send, receive or hold money, and does not offer money transfer, currency exchange, loans, investments or any other financial service. It never asks for bank, card or payment details. Rates and calculator results are estimates, not financial advice. The reference rate is a daily rate, not a live market rate and not a rate at which you can send money; providers usually pay less. Provider rates and details are reported by users, are not confirmed with the provider, and may be out of date or wrong. Taxes, payment-method charges and receiving-bank charges are not included. A rate alert may be late or missed, and past rates do not show where a rate will go.

Always check the rate, the fee and the total cost on the provider's official website or app, or at its branch, before you send money. Check that a provider is licensed where you live before you use it.

Sources: reference rates are daily rates published by central banks and other official sources. Provider rates and details are reported by users of the app. Provider names are compiled from public registers of licensed exchange companies and other public information, and from users.
