RemotePlay for Smartphones

★★★★★ App is of great use when you have to play movies on bigger screen (viz ipad) downloaded on your android! Its significantly fast when comes to playing videos and detecting devices! I had no issues in setting up the device! The video browser is a bit messy. it works fine on ipad but hangs on android. Overall it solved a huge problem when it came to video screening on a bigger screen!

★★☆☆☆ Good idea When i finally found a program to send videos to my iPad, it doesn't work. Freezes constantly, and the gui could be more intuitive. very useful for the few seconds it works though..

★★☆☆☆ Great idea but poor execution I like the idea and the look of this app, but when it comes to it actually working for streaming video, it just doesn't. First of all, getting the settings to save is tricky, but doable once you figure out to press Enter after every entry. Then clicking the Video app crashes the app the first time. It no longer crashes after restarting it. The devices are detected instantly, and this aspect really shines. The second you change a name or owner, it's reflected on other devices. I also like that you drag and drop videos into remote devices. At that point, however, it's a complete mess. The video on the host kind of starts playing, though it looks to have a slightly off aspect ratio. The remote device prompts correctly, then when you press yes, just sits there with a blank screen, all while the host is playing. Then maybe 10 seconds later, it buffers enough to start playing. Only to freeze a few seconds later. At the same time, on the host device, the video restarts randomly, with the volume dropping down to 0 and jumping back up, also randomly. There is a lot of work that needs to be done before RemotePlay is worth installing. Right now it's basically useless for video.
