Renewal Mate

Renewal Mate watches the dates that actually matter: your driver licence and your vehicle registration.

Renewal Mate is an independent app made by AppForge Digital. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, including any state or territory transport authority.

Photograph the card or the plate. The number, the name and the expiry are stored on this phone. You get reminded six months, three months, one month, seven days, and one day before it lapses — and you can push those dates into the calendar already on this phone, or Google, Outlook, or any app that opens an .ics file.

Letting a licence or registration lapse can catch you out, and the renewal notice that was meant to warn you is often the one that went to your old address. Renewal Mate keeps the reminder somewhere you will actually see it.

What it does
• Scan a driver licence, registration paper, or number plate
• Open your state or territory's official registration check (links below), then paste or photograph the result
• Confirm the fields the reader found (never save a guessed expiry)
• File the document in a private wallet on this phone
• Label documents for a partner, trailer, or second car
• Schedule 6 / 3 / 1 month plus 7-day and 1-day reminders
• Add those dates to the calendar on this phone, or export to Google, Outlook, or a .ics file
• Pin a home-screen widget for the next expiry
• Download an encrypted backup, or delete everything from Settings

Official sources
Registration expiry dates come from the official government checks below. Renewal Mate opens these pages for you; it does not query them itself. Driver licence renewals are handled by the same state and territory transport authorities.

Free, and what the unlock buys
Your first document is free and stays free — reminders, the widget, calendar export and encrypted backup all included. When you want to add the rest of the household, one payment unlocks room for as many documents as you need. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: there is nothing to cancel, and it restores on any device signed in to the same Google account.

What it does not do
Renewal Mate does not issue licences, renew registrations, check the police, or look people up. It is a reminder wallet for documents that belong to you. If a date in the app ever differs from the official record, the official record is correct.

Privacy in one line
Saved details stay on the device. A scan sends the photo once so the expiry can be read, then the image is discarded on our side. No ads, and no account to create.

Made for people who would rather not find out the hard way that the licence in the drawer expired in March.
