Repton 3

Really wonderful and nostalgic port. Great value for money with Repton 3 and all expansions included. Many options for graphics and controls, and very accessible with all levels immediately available. Controls slightly tricky on touch screen, making it hard on occasions when you need to be both fast *and* precise, but several options are available, and I'm not sure how they could be made any better. Would be nice if there was an option to see themed graphics during gameplay but standard graphics on the map, as was the case in the original version of the game. (Standard graphics make it easier to plan strategy, as you don't have to remember what everything really is, and I am finding myself pressing the toggle button a lot when looking at the map.) Weird minor glitch spotted on Baby Repton: standard graphics show the "standing lamp" wall sections as the wrong kind of wall. Happy to read that a port of Repton 2 is also in development. ... Any chance of Repton Infinity one day? Also, maybe a level editor? Would buy all these things :) (PS: Clearly I meant to put this review against Repton 3, not Repton 1 (which is also good, but not relevant to many of the things mentioned) where I originally put it!)

Fabulous rewrite of the original that I enjoyed many years ago on the BBC Micro.... My only gripe, needs a save/resume function...

I don't like the attempt to modernize the game. Distracts from the puzzles. Played almost all the games from repton 1, except the puzzles that are unsolvable. Maybe this attracts time players, but not me.

This is fine and I like it a lot for nostgia reasons. But the touch screen controls are much too sensitive. If using the buttons they are placed much too close together. It is extremely irritating that it will read a left/right press with and up/down press. And this leads to too many deaths. Would be better to not move if two directions are pressed at once. All in all playing with an emulator is more satisfying
