Sometimes, you are in an area with a strong 3G signal and weak LTE signal. Your device will typically connect to the stronger, but slower 3G signal. By using "SA Reset Data Connection" app you can get your device to reconnect to that faster LTE.

This does what I want! When I poke the button it restores my connection as well as does restarting my device only a lot faster and without the extra hassles of restarting the hotspot and waiting for my other devices to reconnect to it. It's not automatic as I thought I wanted, but now that I think about it this is better because I don't have to remember to be a good citizen and allow my connection to drop when I don't need it. I think it's worth more than the asking price. It would be nice if the connection could be reset in a second or two, but that's not something the app developer can do anything about.

My search ends here! Been frustrated with my mobile data connection freezing, and I had to restart my phone to fix it. Now with this widget, I can reset it on click of a button.. Really handy, beautiful minimalist widget. Suggestion: why not reconnect the wifi connection too, in cases where wifi connection is giving trouble?
