Comments on Simply DTMF Tone Generator for Android

★★★★☆ Joe Filoseta · Jan 12, 2018

Used the app in conjunction with making calls on Amazon Echo devices. A very nice feature would be able to turn on the speakerphone or the phone speakers in order to have the DTMF tones louder.

★★★★★ Brad Smith · Mar 5, 2016

Hearing Aid Control Works good for changing my hearing aid memory and volume. (Starkey T2).... Thanks!

★★★★★ A Google User · Jun 7, 2015

Works well Very, very interesting and useful app. I tested this app on many phone lines and works well. Also tone part is useful tools for understanding sound freq.

★★★★★ A Google User · May 15, 2015

The one and only DTMF generator you need! Works great. Love the record and playback functionality. Helps save time calling into those IVR.

★☆☆☆☆ Bruno Leite · Jan 20, 2016

No sound on HTC M8s No sound on my HTC M8s. Well, the "Tone (Beta)" manual frequency input works, but the standardized DTMF pad doesn't. Not even saving the sequence I want.

★★☆☆☆ A Google User · Jan 27, 2015

Works half way The DTMF seems to work ok but the tone generator plays random tones regardless of what frequency you set.

★★☆☆☆ Andrew Cruickshank · Aug 23, 2016

Handy I suppose. However, that tone generator beta, it claims to be able to generate tones up to 100000 hertz. Audible tones peak out at 18000 hertz on a really, really good day so not sure what is going on there unless false harmonics are being calculated. That's part of the reason CDs sample rate is 44000 sps because the frequency range is half the sample rate.

★★☆☆☆ A Google User · Jun 19, 2015

Looks perfect but has one drawback: the tone is not loud enough even with my volume control at the max. I wanted to open a CB radio transmitter with this app, put the speaker of my Galaxy Nexus right next to the mike, but didn't succeed. And my Nexus can sure play music pretty loud! :) PS: I've just installed "DTMF tone generator" so now I know my Nexus can play DTMF tones much louder as well. If the author of the "Simply DTMF Tone Generator" improved this part I would give it five stars immediately.
