Best app for background videos, blocking ads, and you can get a YouTube takeout to get all the subscribers you subscribe to back, I just want them to put videos you mostly watch on the front page, so I don't have to look for them on YouTube but overall 10/10 app

Not a bad app for what I want it to do which is play YouTube content while screen is closed or not open on the YouTube app without a premium subscription it is indeed full of ads, but they are easy to skip and don't impact my experience too much as I lardy deal with the hated ads on the YouTube app so no big loss there so if you can't afford or don't want to pay for premium this is a great way around it just use the YouTube app algorithm to find your content then go to this app and search it

Very good for listening to new stuff without worrying about your screen. Ads don't pop up in the middle of videos or during playlists (at least haven't for me), so outweighs the frequent ads while navigating the app. Also has frequent bugs, often but not always related to YouTube bugs. As of the 5.3 update both playlists and background play were broken, at least for me, and I found out this play store version is not connected to the office ReVanced App project and thus not supported/reputable.

Annoying pop up ads that interrupt the video mid-play, and now it makes you use an external player and doesn't play sound. I pretty much only used this for music

This is one of the worst apps I have ever used to use as a YouTube client. It is just a heavily edited New Pipe with ads. I don't even know why this app exists, could give NEGATIVE STARS if I could. Do not download this app, steer clear of it at all costs, it lags and does not work. New Pipe is better. It also makes my phone lag and is a total waste of storage and time. (This app not New Pipe) In short terms this app is chock-full of ads, and says it blocks ads on YouTube.
