Ride Assistant

Ride Assistant is a productivity tool designed for professional ride-hailing drivers.

Ride Assistant helps drivers analyse ride offers displayed on their device and quickly understand whether an offer matches their preferred working criteria.

Using on-device OCR processing, Ride Assistant can read supported ride-offer information and calculate useful metrics such as:

• Ride price
• Pickup and trip distance
• Estimated trip time
• Earnings per kilometre
• Estimated earnings per hour
• Estimated profit
• Ride Score based on your preferences

Ride Assistant displays the calculated information in a convenient on-screen overlay, allowing drivers to review key information without manually calculating each offer.

You can customise your preferred minimum earnings per kilometre and hourly rate, adjust driving-cost settings, choose which information appears in the overlay and personalise how Ride Assistant evaluates offers.

Accessibility and OCR

Ride Assistant uses Android AccessibilityService only to request screenshots while the user has chosen to run OCR. The screenshot is limited to the user-configured ride-offer area and is processed locally on the device to extract information such as price, distance and estimated time.

Ride Assistant does not use AccessibilityService to click buttons, enter text, navigate, accept or reject rides, or otherwise control another app.

Ride screenshots, OCR text, parsed offers, prices and calculations are processed locally on the device and are not uploaded to the Ride Assistant server.

Drivers remain fully responsible for deciding whether to accept or reject any ride offer.

Accessibility permission is optional. Users who do not enable Accessibility can continue using non-OCR features of Ride Assistant, while screenshot-based ride-offer analysis remains unavailable.

Ride Assistant is intended for professional drivers aged 18 or older.
