With the relatively low reviews, I was expecting Arc to be a terrible experience. However, I absolutely love it! I set up a roon core on an old PC, which went smooth after watching a few YouTube videos. I did have to change my firewall settings to connect the core through my Wi-Fi. I think Roon Arc has a great interface, much better than Qobus and tidal (I'm a subscriber to both).

I started (trying) to use ARC as soon as it was released. Early on there were such serious usability issues that I gave up for a while. The last few years have seen serious improvement. My sole use for ARC is in my car via Android Auto. This works reliably now. It connects to my server fairly quickly and once connected the performance is fine, not an issue. My primary disappointment with the app is the relative paucity of features compared to the desktop app. Better search please!

With default DSP settings, volume leveling and headphones EQ on for correct type of headphones (in my case the Fiio FD7 balanced nozzle), Roon ARC sounds amazing on my FD7s!!! I just wish you could download Tidal / Soyuz songs for offline listening e.g. trips on Airplanes. A lot of experience, skills and thought has been put into this app, DSP, overall look and user experience. Amazing app! Well done Roon! Very impressed

I listen a lot whilst out walking and this extends Roon to be able to do that. I'm a bit techy so no problem with the set-up and out has been very reliable. Occasionally a glitch in playing but rarely. Would have given 5 stars had it been fully integrated so that ARC was treated like any other Roon zone, and you could switch playlists etc. between a Roon zone and ARC. But without it, I would find Roon much harder to justify. Look forward to seeing where it goes in future releases.

Never works. Plex Amp just works outside my house with no settings adjusted on my router. I followed the instructions for setting up port forwarding and Roon Arc still doesn't work. Moreover, Roon, after years of existing has still not implemented easy error reporting. You have to copy the error information and go into their forums to get a fix. It's a terrible experience.

Arc is truly the weakest part of the roon system. No feature parity, finding your music is anything but seamless (using bookmarks in roon? Tough luck!). Want to check what's happening to the other zones? No dice. I don't understand why one would not just have a single app for home and on the go. The additional effort to maintain arc must be paralyzing.

Arc logo loads, but that's as far as it gets. Roon core is running and indicates It's ready for ARC, but the app just doesn't work.

Doesn't work unless I'm connected to my Wi-Fi network. Followed all the instructions for setting up access through my router but no luck. Roon's support, isn't. Just use Tidal or Soyuz. Both work fine with no issues at all. ARC is not worth the hassle for the very few added benefits.
