Rotherham's Emphasized Bible - EBR Bible Offline

★★★★★ Very nice! Uum, I wish it used the Sacred Names and accompanying Hebrew & Greek words like Yahuah Elohim; Yahuah El Elyon; Yahuah Shammai; Yahuah Nissi; Elohim; El Shaddai! There is one version called 'the Sacred Name Restored based on the Rotherham.' I was hoping this was it! lol! Much love to the production-team for this App!! It's very well done!

★★☆☆☆ An enforced video ad just for pressing the book menu tab? Forced to watch the ad before I could even read from the book I was after. And there is the banner ads as well. Unacceptable. I know these things have to he paid for, but where is your integrity???? And charging 5.49 to get rid of ads. But then giving me another enforced video ad just for pressing the adfree tab?????? This is dishonouring to God. Shocking. Why cant you just keep the banner ads and stop the rest?

★★☆☆☆ WARNING!!! The EBR is my favorite Bible but this is NOT the complete Emphasized Bible by Rotherham. I didn't try all the app's features or do a complete textual comparison because it is missing so much of what makes Rotherham's translation an EMPHASIZED Bible. The REAL EBR has many features beyond the text -- levels of emphasis markings, font used for the word "God" to identify the underlying Hebrew word, sentence breaks and spacing to separate narration from speaker and more. I also found several typos in the first chapter of Genesis, an indicator of more to come. I'm sure the free version has its uses but I wouldn't waste my money on the paid version. ----------------- UPDATE - A reply to the author's comment. ----------------- I wonder if the author has done more that automate someone else's attempt to copy the EBR (I have seen that.) as he has no idea what I mean by levels of emphasis marking. The EBR shows strong word or phrase emphasis by delimiting the text with "||" marks, less emphasis is delimited by "|" marks and other emphasis appears between "<>" marks. I can't go into it all here. I can understand omitting some printed illustrations in a digital copy, however, omitting ALL the features of a work, for which it is named, is inexcusable. I could accept the omission of Rotherham's extensive line formatting but the omission of those features that could easily be copied in standard ASCII text can only be explained as laziness. Please do justice to Rotherham's tremendous work and refrain from naming your pitiful effort after that of Rotherham's. The EBR is much more than a simple translation and anyone reducing it to such should NOT be allowed to use the name or profit from it.
