Rowsy: Knit & Crochet Counter

Rowsy is a row counter for knitting and crochet that keeps your place in the pattern. Tap anywhere on the big counter to add a row, follow your PDF or written pattern line by line, and let Rowsy remember the repeats, reminders and stitch counts for you. No ads, no account, and it works offline.

Count rows with one tap
• A big tap area, so you can count without looking at the screen
• Undo for the row you counted by mistake
• Haptic feedback on every tap
• The screen stays on while you count
• Optional: count with your phone's volume buttons

Several counters per project
• A row counter with an optional target, like 40 of 120 rows
• Extra counters for anything else you want to keep track of
• Linked counters move with the row counter and count repeats, e.g. a 6-row repeat that shows how many repeats are done
• A stitch counter for long rows and rounds
• Row reminders such as "decrease every 6th row" or "at row 40: start the heel"

Your PDF pattern, with a row highlighter
• Import a PDF or a photo of a knitting or crochet pattern
• Zoom in and turn your phone to landscape
• Drag the marker band to the line you're on. It can move down one line with every row you count, so keeping your place is easy, even in a chart

Written patterns, row by row
• Paste the text of a pattern and Rowsy finds the row and round labels (in 12 languages)
• See the instruction for the current row and the next one at a glance
• Tap any line to jump straight to it
• Multi-part patterns (body, sleeves) and stitch counts at the end of a line are supported

Projects, time and progress
• All your knitting and crochet projects in one place, each with a status: planned, in progress or finished
• A project timer that keeps the time across sessions
• Rows per day, weekly stats and a streak to keep you going
• Notes and details: yarn, hook or needle size, gauge, size, a link to the pattern and a cover photo

Yarn stash and handy tools
• A yarn stash with brand, colour, weight (lace to jumbo), fibre, skeins, grams and meters
• "My hooks and needles", so you know what you already own before you buy
• Gauge calculator: stitches and rows for a width, or convert a pattern's stitch count to your own gauge
• Increase/decrease evenly calculator, for flat pieces and in the round
• Yarn amount calculator that tells you how many skeins you need
• Hook and needle size chart (mm, US, UK, Japanese) and a yarn weight chart
• Abbreviations dictionary for knitting and crochet, with US and UK crochet terms

Private by design
• No ads, no account, no sign-in
• Works fully offline, at home or on the train
• Your projects stay on your phone
• Export and import backup files, plus automatic daily backups on your device
• Light and dark mode, and the app speaks 12 languages

Made for every maker
Whether you're a beginner working your first granny square or an experienced knitter on a sweater with sleeves, Rowsy keeps count so you can focus on your stitches. Use it for amigurumi, socks, blankets, shawls, hats and any knitting or crochet pattern worked in rows or rounds.

Rowsy doesn't make patterns for you. It helps you follow the ones you love, row after row. Start a project and never lose your row again.
