Can't progress after world 2 stage 10. Catapult takes out all troops, and you can't get one yet, only get 2 coins for each attempt. Won't play again

Started out playing on YouTube as a free game and when that stopped functioning I discovered it was available on the Play Store. Sadly had to install some Google game thing on my desktop, so I could play. Worked okay for a week maybe and then stopped working for no apparent reason. It's a decent fun little game but either watch ads or pay up in game to make progress. Also glitches weirdly on the desktop with distorted audio and huge variations in play speed during "battle" as if it's throttling.
