The ad to start streaming is so frustrating, any minor glitch in connection, and you have to hear the ad again, interrupting listening - there's already ads on the radio so don't see why it is necessary, but it should be a once a day listen at most, ive had one show interrupted three times now and have turned it off.

80% battery used from 8am till 1pm. Spotify will play all day for 10% battery. I like the RTE radio app, but it's constantly draining my battery, Can the developer please review power usage as it seems to be a regular problem on Pixel phones according to AI search results.

The app. Has improved over the last year or so. It is now much easier to find recent and older program episodes. Well done. Problem now is the ads. Ok they want the money. The issue is that the ad is placed at the very start of every show. So if you are browsing around looking for whatever...each attempt becomes a ...blah blah advert before you even start. It would be better if ad delayed 1 min or 30 secs. Then more searches could more be made.
