Samsung Galaxy S5. Installs and works OK. Requested enhancements 1. Let the user choose to store on a card rather than device. 2. Enable resizing to full width in landscape. I have some difficulty in scrolling the page once I've manually resized it.

Hampered by DRM! - UPDATED High hopes for the app until the DRM system kicked in. Having all books in my catalog together would be really useful whilst away from home enjoying the sport that they refer to. Problem is faced when I updated my email on the publishers account database. Subsequent purchases are tagged against the new email and original purchased library is tagged against a different original email address. To access purchased content I have now to login under two separate logins. This approach is not taken by my kindle and so it is evident that the technology exists for this problem not to happen. Very disappointed UPDATE - The very professional staff at RYA HQ have consolidated my purchases into one account and so now that problem has been resolved and my library is again whole. DRM aside the benefits of my library being highly portable and available in such a convenient format deserves to be recognized and so amending the points from 1 to 4. (Would be a five if no DRM, such as is available at oreilly.com, another major online eBook retailer). Really useful app all in all and looking forward to more titles being available in eBook form.

Glorified PDF reader with DRM Was disappointed to find that the books are essentially PDF versions with some additional multimedia content. As with most PDF readers it doesn't flow text within the screen constraints. This means that to read a page on a mini tablet I find I have to put the device in landscape, resize the text to the size of the screen to make it readable and then scroll down as I read and this needs to be done for each page. They have also priced the ebooks at the same price as the printed versions, presumably justified by the extra multimedia content, but I think they would be better off offering a version that reflects the lower cost of the medium, or at least offering a free copy with each paper copy of the book. Essentially once you have a draft proofed copy of a manuscript the cost of e-publication is minimal.

Phase 2 I decided to edit this entry and remove some stars. Sadly there is no way to give this app 0 stars, which is what it deserves. My phone needed to be changed, and the new one wouldn't allow me to log in or access the appropriate file. Several emails to the RYA produced no suitable result. So I asked for a refund for the book I bought but cannot read. Do not waste your time. It's a hiding to nothing. I was worried by the other comments. However, I really wanted one of your books, on a "right now" basis. I got the book and read it, so that's OK. Can't register or login through the app though. I can probably complete a purchase through Google Play. It seems that your development team have gone to a lot of trouble to be very average.

Not being able to purchase a hard copy of an ebook means members like myself who have great difficulty reading books on mobile devices and computers, feel left behind. This is not what I would consider as an inclusive organization. I will not be renewing my subscription.
