Description by plycoder Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Pip, a friendly mascot, tells a little story in a gentle 3D world and acts out the superpowers - stop, look, listen, hold a hand - while your child plays along. Get it right and Pip does it too, and a sticker lands on their shelf. Every lesson is a superpower to learn, never a warning about something bad.
WHAT CHILDREN LEARN
- Street smart: stop, look, listen, and cross holding a grown-up's hand
- My safe grown-ups: who to go to, and to "check first" before going anywhere
- Stay-put hero: what to do if they can't see their grown-up
- Little fix-it: calm first steps for small bumps
- Emergency heroes: calling the helper number, smoke alarms and getting out, and chew-and-sit eating
- On the move: moving stairs, lifts and bike checks
- My body belongs to me: choosing hugs, asking first, private parts, OK and not-OK touches, No-Go-Tell, and no secrets about touching
- Screen smart: ask before you tap
- A grown-up's phone number, practised on a big talking keypad
- 100 everyday life skills: setting the table, washing hands, bedtime, weather, feelings, money, family life and more
- 88 character lessons: honesty, respect, helping others, listening to and respecting parents, caring for brothers and sisters, and kind choices
371 lessons across 318 topics.
SIX KINDS OF GAME
Tap the superpower, match it, put it in order, find it, steer Pip through a story, and act it out with Let's Pretend.
BUILT SO A FIVE-YEAR-OLD NEVER FEELS WRONG
- Nothing scary: no danger scenes, injuries, alarms or frightening words
- No way to fail: no timers, no lockouts - every answer gets a warm reply
- Read aloud using installed offline device voices; availability depends on the language and device
- Large buttons for small hands, reduce-motion option, screen-reader support
- English, Hindi, Chinese, Bangla and Arabic
COLLECT AND CELEBRATE
- 371 stickers to collect, and outfits to unlock for Pip
- Achievement World (optional, switched on by a grown-up): 10 points for every sticker, a friendly animal nickname, and a place in the rankings among Safe Kid explorers everywhere
- Finish every lesson and a grown-up can create a certificate with your child's name, ready to print
FOR GROWN-UPS
- No in-app purchases and no analytics. Ads are family-friendly, never personalised, and only appear after a finished lesson - never during one. The first five lessons are ad-free.
- Lessons, progress and settings stay on the device and work offline
- Achievement World is off until you join it in the Grown-ups area, behind a parental question. It then stores only a random nickname, the sticker count and the score - and a certificate name if you create one. You can delete it all from the app at any time.
- Tips for carrying each lesson into real life
