Easy to use app. Saves money every time. They also have a Health section that allows me to make health goals and habits, and rewards me for tracking and accomplishing those. The rewards are healthy reward points that can then be accrued and used towards free items in the store or used to get coupons that will take money off your total grocery purchase, and many other ways to redeem these points. They also have a pharmacy link to manage your prescriptions or even your animals. Love thus app.

The search bar function is still completely broken. You can't enter more than one character in the search bar, so you can't find any items to buy or coupons. There are hundreds of reviews over the last month describing the same error. Safeway refuses to fix it. When you follow the steps in their responses of the reviews and chat with support, their "solution" is to uninstall and reinstall the app then log out/ in every single time you need to search for a different item. That's not a fix.

7/24/26. The app has always been good until a few weeks ago. When I search for a product now and then hit the deals button, it used to show if any deals for products under that name. Now it shows a hundred products that don't match the description and that don't have "deals". Please fix the app. Thank you

Useful and it does help me save, but it's definitely gotten worse. I'll save deals on the app, and they just won't compute at the register. Just won't show up. It used to be a lot better, but it's gotten so bad lately. Edit: I'm now having issues with delivery orders. The last several orders I've made have listed items as unavailable that are in stock in the store. In stock items are being left off my delivery orders, which defeats the point of a delivery order (and I paid extra for delivery).

Scanning the for u tags almost never does anything. There has been almost no marginal benefit over the usual membership. Case in point - went to Safeway to pick up cranberry juice, saw a for u coupon on cookies, scanned it, got charged full price for said cookies.
