Update 10/2026: Seems it's back to normal. Thank you Safeway! The app seems back to being more use Update 3/28: Well I'm presently surprised it seems they actually added a filter, so now you can filter by "Safeway" and not see the external sellers! Thank you! Original: I hope they stop having external sellers listed for products in the app (like food service direct) or at the very least have a filter to only see items available in store...

Nice to get personalized deals on things on I buy or bought before, save where I can. Also helps to find where the items are in the store, or to order for pickup or delivery. Make sure you add deals at least 5 minutes before, not while in line to pay. Sometimes it glitches and doesn't apply discount.

So. The app will now change the store you ordered from, and be sure to screenshot what you ordered because they don't ask you or alert you about substitutions anymore. They simply substitute for you, or don't buy the item at all, and you cannot see what you actually ordered. They update it based on the item scanned. So take screenshots. Also uses AI to attempt to scan photos of rotten produce. Any way. Dishonest, bad, trash. Store forces me to use drive up for deals and free things.

Safeway keeps on lying that they will fix the missing earned reward points every time I shop in there store. I have screenshots that they have fixed it but no it keeps on not showing my new earned reward points. Even my boosted accumulated points doesn't add up. And I keep on complaining too about their paper receipt that before after every transaction, it shows how many reward points I earned, but after this so-called AI technology, the earned reward points can't be seen! STOP TAKING OUR POINTS!

Don't use this delivery service. They will take your money and not deliver the food. Then argue with you when you try to get it back. The app glitches and doesn't let you order again after they rob you, and they won't fix it either. Chat workers wouldn't help, and it's pointless to even try.
