I feel so fortunate to have learned about Sandbox right after my son joined the Army. Being able to write him letters AND send photos delivered the very next day has been great! I love that my letters are delivered with a self-addressed return envelope and stationery, so he can easily write back. Sandbox also gives weekly updates on their home page to let you know exactly what recruits are doing that week in their training. Sandbox is an absolute must for anyone who has a loved one in basic!

Sandbox has been an awesome way to communicate with my recruit! Handwritten letters mailed take 10 - 12 days on average to get in his hands, while Sandbox letters take 5-7. Those times matter when you are trying to support your recruit! That communication is so important for both the recruit AND the family. The price is more than what you spend to mail handwritten letters, but it includes prepaid postage for a return letter, as well as a paper to write it on.

Big money grab app! Huge money to send your kid a letter. Then to share the overpriced letters with your family to use, you need to create a "Support Squad." Then there are no directions on how your family can even use those overpriced letters. Google AI said they need to become "admin" users. So, $200 adds up real quick figuring all this out. Then, when sending letters, it asks my family for more money for every little thing. My family is pissed off over this app and disappointed with me.

The app is ok. But the cost for letters is ridiculous. And my son hasn't received a single one even though we've been sending weekly using the same address I put on a package (he received the package). Not worth the hype. The app says it was delivered to the address though. Maybe not good for army.

I decided to use Sandbox because of its quickness to get to my recruit... however, my recruit has not received any over the last 3 weeks, even though it says they were delivered. I was prepared because most of the people in my recruits' company were complaining about returned Sandbox letters. So today... I got the first letter I sent back in the mail saying it was undeliverable. $60 is alot to pay when it's not even making it to them. Snail mail is much cheaper and seems to make it there.
