Comments on Sandboxx for Android

★★★★★ Thom Sullivan · Jul 17, 2026

Hands down the best app to get for family members of military recruits. Sandbox gets letters to your recruit the very next day including a pres tamped return envelope and paper stock for them to write you back. My son, who is still in basic, has told us that Sandbox is the best thing they have. He looks forward to the Sandbox letters. It's more than just letters too. It's a community, its weekly updates on your soldier and actual live military experts and former military people. Get it!

★★★★☆ Dainja Gal · Aug 26, 2026

Very good and easy to use. Little too pricey for a letter. Would be cheaper to JS write one and mail it off.

★★★★★ Jennifer Merrifield · Sep 20, 2026

Great app to write letters, send gift cards, inspiration, photos and receive updates. Much faster and easier than regular mail.

★☆☆☆☆ Vicky Hopper · Sep 15, 2026

It is freaking expensive to send a letter through this app. And there is no guarantee your soldier will actually receive it. Used it to send letters during basic training and our soldier only received a couple. Not worth the money they charge you to use the service.

★☆☆☆☆ Greg Klein · Aug 9, 2026

Big money grab app! Huge money to send your kid a letter. Then to share the overpriced letters with your family to use, you need to create a "Support Squad." Then there are no directions on how your family can even use those overpriced letters. Google AI said they need to become "admin" users. So, $200 adds up real quick figuring all this out. Then, when sending letters, it asks my family for more money for every little thing. My family is pissed off over this app and disappointed with me.

★☆☆☆☆ Michael Creegan · Oct 3, 2026

Download it and keep getting prompts how I plan to use the app. Looking for news not supporting a recruit or preparation for military life. Downloaded and deleted several times. I know there are 2 different apps out there. Deleted it and cleared the memory and restarted my phone. Made sure I'm downloading the news app.
