ScriptTrivia

ScriptTrivia, a Bible trivia application, is designed for Android mobile phones and tablets. Trivia quizzes reference passages from the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible, authorized King James version. The app presents game sessions with 6 trivia themes and 30 random, challenging trivia clues. The player may interact with the games in portrait and/or landscape view, as desired.

Objective:
The target score is 3000 per session, However, your challenge is to gain as many points as possible during each session, and to beat your high score in subsequent sessions. A random trivia game clue is presented as you tap each theme during the session. The game awards you 100 points for each correct answer. You may skip a difficult or repeated quiz by touching any theme button again, before selecting an answer.

The Home Page
The prevailing score Hi Score is displayed on the Home page. Touch the [PLAY GAME] button on the Home page to move to the Game page. If you wish to read the instructions prior to starting the game, touch the [VIEW GUIDE] button.

The Game Page
Each game session presents 6 theme buttons and 30 trivia quizzes. There are multiple illustrative images and Bible references available to each session. However, only 30 clues and corresponding images are displayed during each session. You must touch any the 6 theme buttons, above the image box, to select a random clue during the session. The selected theme button will display a border to indicate its selection; and the theme clue will be displayed above a related image. If the trivia clue presented is too challenging, you may touch any theme button to receive a different clue.

Touch the [VIEW OPTIONS] button to see 5 random trivia answers in the Answer Display area. You may tap the [VIEW OPTIONS] button several times to find an option likely to be the correct response to the clue. When you identify the desired option, touch the [SEND ANSWER] button to submit your choice. If the answer is correct, you will receive a soft chime, and 100 points added to your score. If the answer is incorrect, you will hear a dull beep with no change to your score. However, the correct response will be displayed above the Bible verse. In either case, the trivia image and related bible verse for the clue will be displayed. Your updated score is displayed at the bottom of the Game page.

The number of games played is displayed at the top left of the page, as the session progresses. The prevailing high score is displayed at the top right of the page. Your challenge is to beat the prevailing high score, during each subsequent session.

Session Wrap-up
The game session ends after 30 trivia clues, with an energetic applause and on-page closing prompts. The game will instruct you to touch the [GO HOME] button to start another session. The Hi Score display will be updated if your latest score beats the prevailing high score. The prevailing high score will also be displayed on the Main page of the application.
