Sensible Wallpaper Changer

Sensible Wallpaper Changer automatically rotates through your own gallery photos, giving you a battery-friendly wallpaper changer for Android that keeps every picture on your device.

Pick your photos, choose an interval, and the app changes your wallpaper on schedule. It sits quietly in the background and works with your phone's sleep mode instead of waking it.

WHY CHOOSE THIS WALLPAPER CHANGER

- Battery-friendly by design: changes are scheduled through Android's recommended background system, so your phone is never woken unnecessarily
- Private by default: no adverts and no tracking of any kind
- No internet permission: the app is technically unable to upload your photos, and you can verify this in the system app info
- No gallery permission: photos are chosen through the Android photo picker, so the app never sees your full library
- Your chosen photos are copied into the app's own private storage, so rotation keeps working even if you move or delete the originals

AUTOMATIC WALLPAPER ROTATION

- Choose a rotation interval: every 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours
- Sequential or shuffle order
- Apply wallpapers to your home screen, lock screen, or both
- Manual "change now" button when you want a fresh look
- Rotation carries on automatically after a restart

WORKS WITH YOUR LAUNCHER

The app uses the standard Android wallpaper service, so it works with the launcher you already have:

- Google Pixel Launcher: photos are set at their natural aspect ratio with a centred crop, so scrolling wallpapers pan correctly across your home screens
- Samsung One UI: fixed wallpapers are centred and scaled correctly on Galaxy phones and foldables
- Xiaomi HyperOS and MIUI, OnePlus OxygenOS, Nothing OS: wallpapers are rendered to your exact screen size before being applied
- Third-party launchers such as Nova, Niagara and Lawnchair are supported through the same standard system

CLEAR AND READABLE

- Adjustable dimming tones down bright photos so your icons stay readable
- Battery status and rotation reliability summary on the home screen
- Full activity log showing when each wallpaper changed
- Light and dark themes

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Will this wallpaper changer drain my battery?
A: No. Wallpaper changes are batched with other background work and respect sleep and battery-saver modes. The app does not use exact alarms and does not keep your phone awake.

Q: Why did my wallpaper change a few minutes late?
A: Android batches background tasks to save power, so each change happens within a short window around your chosen interval. This is deliberate, and it is what keeps the app battery-friendly.

Q: Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
A: No. The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send your photos anywhere. Everything stays on your device.

Q: Does it change the lock screen wallpaper?
A: Yes. You can apply wallpapers to the home screen, the lock screen, or both at the same time.

Q: Does it need access to my whole photo library?
A: No. You select pictures through the Android system photo picker, or share them to the app from your gallery. The app only ever receives the photos you choose.

Q: Does it keep working after I restart my phone?
A: Yes. The rotation schedule is restored automatically after a reboot.

Q: Is the app free?
A: Every feature is included in a 7-day free trial, followed by a small yearly subscription. There are no adverts and no other purchases.
